Poppy Seed Cake

Sift together and set aside:
3 cups flour
1/2 tesp. salt
1 1/2 tesp. baking soda

Mix together:
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups salad oil
4 eggs
1 tesp. vanilla

Add:
1 large can evaporated milk
1 can poppy seed (approx 12 oz.)
1 cup walnuts (ground)

Now gradually add the flour mixture. Bake in an ungreased tube pan for approx.1 hr.∓ 15 min. at 350 degrees. Cool right side up for 5 min. Nofrosting is necessary but powdered sugar may be sprinkled on top if desired. If baked in regular muffin pans fill 3/4 full; mini-muffin pans may also be used.
