If you have ever struggled with a pie crust recipe that never seemed to turn out the same way twice. Did you ever wonder who made up that old saying "It's as easy as pie"?

Pie was never easy to me, until this recipe came along. Try it and you will understand why it's called "No Fail".

Mix with a pastry blender:
2 1/2 cups shortening*
5 cups flour
1 tesp. salt

Put one egg in a measuring cup. Mix egg, then fill to the one cup line with milk. Add to the flour mixture. Mix thoroughly. Separate into five (5) equal size balls. Balls can be wrapped and refrigerated or frozen for later use.

* I have used the new butter flavored shortening. Using it does alter the texture of the dough but it does work. - DBZ
