Un-Beatable Brownies

This brownie recipe is, in my opinion, the best ever.  It's not a fancy brownie recipe like killer brownies.  This recipe needs no gimmick like caramel.  It is a stand alone classic.

Grocery List
Butter
Cocoa
Eggs
Vanilla
Sugar
Flour
Walnuts
Chocolate Chips
Salt

Melt: 1-1/2 stick of butter and one cup of cocoa. Stir and let cool

Beat: 4 eggs with an electric mixer until they are foamy.  Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.  Keep beating.  Gradually add 2 cups of sugar.  Keep beating.  It will become really fluffy like frosting.  Stop Mixer and add cocoa/butter mixture.  Just barely mix this in.  Then add 1 cup of sifted flour and just barely mix it in also.   Then add 1 cup of walnut pieces.  Finish mixing with a spatula scraping in all the stuff stuck to the sides and bottom of the bowl.  Pour into a greased 9 X 13 pan and back for 25 minutes at 350 F. Let cool.

Frosting:
In a small sauce pan on low heat melt 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons of water and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir constantly until it is perfectly melted and smooth.  Add 1/4 stick of butter, keep stirring until it is melted.  Pour evenly over the brownies tilting the pan so that it spreads evenly. Sprinkle with some walnut pieces on top. Leave uncovered until the glaze is dry and set up. Cut after completely cooled.
